Big Shrimp is a high-octane progressive improvised rock quartet formed in 2024 in Bridgeport, CT, blending danceable funk, exploratory rock, and fearless improvisation into a sound that’s as intricate as it is infectious. Featuring Jared Sage Cowen (guitar/vocals), Max Perrotti (bass/vocals), Daniel Cohen (keys/vocals), and Henry Thomas (drums/vocals), the band has earned national attention including placement on Spotify’s Modern Jam Band editorial playlist and a spot on Grateful Web’s “Top 12 Upcoming Jam Bands to Watch in 2026.” Known for adventurous live shows packed with tight originals and unexpected covers, Big Shrimp released The Prawno Tapes, Vol. 3 in late 2025 and continues building a loyal fanbase (“The Prawn Stars”) through touring, viral TikTok traction, and standout festival appearances. In 2026, they’re touring nationwide and launched their debut studio era with the single “Rex” (Jan 9).
