MiJung Park, born in Seoul, Korea, came to the U.S to study the piano at the age of 15. In 1998, she won the 1st prizes on both the New England Philharmonic Young Artists Competition and Concord Orchestra Competition, performing Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with both orchestras. In 2003, she won the 2nd prize at the Kingsville international Isabel Scionti Piano Competition and was awarded the Richard Westbrook Memorial Award. She performed with Ukraine Symphonic Khmelnitsky, appeared at Meranofest Concert in Theatro Puccini, Italy, 'Sherman Stars' Piano Duo Concert in Jordan Hall, ‘Music Art The Pianissimo’ Concert in IBK Chamber Hall and was invited to perform Sorina Piano Duo recitals with her sister, JungHee Park at Bu-San Art Center. She earned her Doctoral degree in piano performance in 2011 at the Boston University, studying with Anthony di Bonaventura, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees at the New England Conservatory, studying with Wha Kyung Byun.
