Memories of the short time we had with our babies! Conner passed in 2014 at the age of 16. He was 2 weeks old when he became ill and was unfortunately misdiagnosed with colic when it was actually spinal meningitis. By the time the Drs took us seriously that it was more than that it was already so advanced it caused severe brain damage. He was confined to a bed or wheelchair. He passed away in his sleep. In 2007 we had a daughter Teana *gabby* . She loved Conner with everything she had. She was 7 when he passed away. At the time of his passing we had a newborn of only 28 days. On the day of Gabby's 10th bday she was admitted to Children's Hospital in Birmingham al with decompensated shock/sepsis/septic shock secondary to the flu & rsv. She was placed on ECMO support due to cardiorespiratory failure that same day. After 42 days in icu her pump flow was reduced without our knowledge due to resuscitation being medically futile (we read this in her records) she passed away on 2/13/17.
