Markivus Antwan Nious also known by his stage name Furyus is a musical artist, podcaster, actor, director and founder of Stand Alone Music, Nious Media, Deeper Than Music Podcast and the Nious Media Roku Channel. Throughout his music career, Furyus’s music has been placed in television shows such as Dance Mom’s, Black Ink Crew, and Mostly 4 Millennials. His 2017 single “So Fancy” featuring pop singer Vince Thomas was a Grammy Contender in 2017 for the “Best Pop Duo” category. Furyus musical influences come from artists like Sting, Michael Jackson, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Lupe Fiasco and The Roots. Furyus first began rapping at the age of 16 it wasn’t until he performed at Bay High Schools 1995 talent show in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi that Furyus saw the impact of his music. After the talent show, Furyus was contacted to enroll at WBSL AM 1190’s Broadcasting Academy, a program for high school students to learn about broadcasting.
