Meet April Tribe Giauque — Special Education powerhouse and mom of NINE (because why do anything small?). April blends expertise with lived experience — five of her nine children have special needs, including two who are deaf. With 19+ years serving students who are deaf, hearing, on the Autism Spectrum, and with diverse learning needs, she’s all about real inclusion and real independence.
At the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind, she leads the BridgE Program for ages 18–21, teaching employment skills, postsecondary readiness, and adult life confidence. With 650+ hours training educators and 700+ hours empowering families, To give students the skills, confidence, and opportunity to reach their full independence potential — not someday, but step by step, starting now.
