What is a "Rain Card" in cricket?
Playing the "rain card" is when you see the weather forecast on the Friday and make the early decision that no cricket will be played the next day. So you head to the pub and rather than having a couple of beers you have; 10 pints, 2 Jägerbomb, a couple of rum and cokes, a baby Guinness and a 4am kebab.
Unfortunately the unwritten rule of playing the rain card is that the weather forecast is wrong and you end up playing the next day hung over.
You drop 2 catches, get a duck and lose the game.
