Formed in Manchester (UK) in 1991 Somnambulist Internationale are a loose interdisciplinary affiliation captivated by the dead medium of super-8 film. Gathered here are our original films with a soundtrack featuring music that we listened to at the time. Films we projected in the early hours, long after the night clubs had closed and we found ourselves still wide awake. We sat in the dark and watched the flickering light on the wall and everyone went 'Aaaaaaah.'
Originally edited together onto 100ft reels entitled 'Can't Take Johnny To The Funeral' (1992), 'Joyride' (1993), 'Joyride Vol.2' (1994) and 'We Turn In A Circle In The Night' (1997), they are now presented here as short films with individual soundtracks.
