We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We produce Focus: Black Oklahoma with KOSU- Stillwater–88.3 FM, Oklahoma City–91.7 FM, Ponca City–94.9 FM, Tulsa–107.3 FM & 107.5 FM
(Oklahoma NPR affiliate) airing 3rd Sundays at 3p & following Fridays at 1p & on KWGS 89.5 FM (Tulsa NPR affiliate) on 4th Thursdays at 12p & 4th Fridays at 8p- receiving awards including NAACP Image Award, duPont Columbia, & shortlisted for a Peabody, among others.
We publish our own curricula, share knowledge as teachers & speakers, develop & host workshops, & collaborate with artists & community-building organizations.
We fill gaps in the creative world honoring the talents of diverse populations of creatives working with partners in Oklahoma & beyond including: New York Times, BBC, History Channel, NPR's Next Generation Radio, Solutions Journalism Network, Oklahoma Eagle, La Semana, Frontier, Gilcrease Museum, Calliope Group, Folk Alliance International, Philbrook, & Black Wall Street Times.
