Created in 2006 Aristotle Racing Team, also known as "ART", from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece competes in international engineering competitions where teams from Universities all around the world race against each other using formula-style cars that students themselves design and build. ART's first participation in a competition was on the racetrack of Fiorano de Modenese, Italy. During the past six years, ART has constructed a total of 3 racecars and accomplished 7 successful participations in the Formula SAE series including the Italian, British, and German grands prix. These participations have brought the team numerous awards and distinctions: 2009 FS Class 3 Design Winners, 2010 Formula ATA Most Friendly Team, 2011 Acceleration Run-off Winners and lately the 3rd Overall Position and a place on the podium in FS Italy in the summer of 2012. Ever year the team is renewed with new groups of ambitious students, willing to advance the team achievements even more.
