West Coast Dream Team is a cover project that was created to pay tribute to a timeless musical genre known as ‘AOR’ (adult oriented rock), also known as the ‘west coast sound’ or ‘yacht rock’. The genre emerged during the golden period of recorded music spanning from the mid-1970’s to early 80’s... Vintage, west coast, hi-fidelity pop-music with complex jazz harmony and tasty r&b/soul grooves. Artists like Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, Toto, Pages and Bobby Caldwell to name a few. Co-founded and led by Nate Drobner (AstroLogical, Potatohead People) and fronted by Leon Feldman (Glass Kites), West Coast Dream Team includes an 8 member line-up of some of Vancouver's finest musicians, who have come together to pay homage to this often overlooked genre.
