UF’s Digital Worlds Institute is on the cutting edge of digital arts and sciences — both in our research initiatives and innovative approach to education. We are a recognized leader in combining arts, communications, engineering and science, with a focus on advanced media systems. Founded in 2001 as a partnership between the College of the Arts and the College of Engineering, the Institute has grown its initiatives across six additional colleges at UF. The UF College of the Arts’ (COTA) mission is to foster creative activity, scholarly and artistic excellence and innovation across disciplines. COTA achieves the university’s mission by training professionals and educating students as artists and scholars, while developing their critical-thinking skills and inspiring a culture of curiosity and imagination.
