Described as “without question one of the finest and most dedicated young flute soloists and composers” by Mike Green, the President of the Grammy Foundation, Nikka Gershman is an 18-year-old musician. Haynes Flutes, the oldest flute manufacturer in America, has invited her to represent the company as a Young Artist. At age 15, Nikka made history as the youngest-ever recipient of a Kovner Fellowship at The Juilliard School to pursue her Bachelor of Music degree. In August 2023, she was the featured artist on the cover of The Flute View magazine; in 2024, she was recognized as a “Rising Star” by New York’s “Our Town” journal; and hailed as a “Magic Flutist” by amNY in 2025. Nikka’s transcription of Ravel’s “La Valse” for flute and piano, along with her original composition “When We Used to Dance”, made her the youngest-ever composer published by the internationally-renowned Theodore Presser.
