To say Louis VI is in a lane of his own is an understatement. The rapper, musician, Zoologist, Wildlife film presenter & Nature activist from North London, has created a way of cross-pollinating music & nature that is as galvanising as it is infectious. It is the relatability in the language & message of hope in his music & wildlife presenting that has been getting Louis attention - he uses the sound of nature, as a new more emotive and culturally connected way of talking about climate change & biodiversity and connecting young people, especially from the diaspora with nature. With Louis’ father’s side being from Dominica and France and his mother’s side being Scottish and Italian, the artist skirts many worlds & let’s that come through in his music; letting his “inner geek” shine through his lyrics as both a singer & rapper, on top of soulful thumping beats produced by himself, he also a huge part in highlighting climate justice in Dominica post Hurricane Maria.
