The original Live Steel Combat group in the U.S. is based out of Omaha, Nebraska. The original concept was to give the public a "new flavor" of combat at our local Ren. Faire back in '95-'96. Everything was SCA and we were trying to do something different. We've certainly done that, and now there are steel combat groups all over the country. Perhaps not our doing, but we feel proud nonetheless to see so many others doing it now. Over the years this group has been a beacon for some, a scourge for a few, and an experience for all. Nowadays we try to work with whoever wants to share in the dream.... Our group is made up of folks from Neb. and Iowa, as well as our friends in Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Colorado, Afghanistan and Canada,
