Maia and the Squires is an alternative rock band based in Berlin but with a wide cultural background.
The band, formed in 2024, features Phan Anh (Hanoi, Vietnam) on guitar, Merlin Ricco Laudien (Buxtehude, Germany) on drums, Ulysse Zimmer (Vaux, France) on guitar, and Maia Luker (Buenos Aires, Argentina) on vocals and guitar.
Together, they keep a balance between dreamy and abrasive by taking inspiration from 90s alternative, indie rock, shoegaze and grunge.
