Aruvi in Tamil/Malayalam refers to 'river stream' or 'waterfall'. As the river is pure and eternal, our love for Music is also the same.
Aruvi was formed in February 2014. Aruvi is primarily a fusion band with Himanshu's music interests and background rooted deep into Rock/Metal Genre while Prabhat hailing from pure hindustani classical background.
With Rajesh's musical insights dwelling in the genres like Blues, Jazz, Country and Folk music.
And finally Arun and Shyam blending in with Carnatic classical, mordern music and the rest ; given their variety of musical taste, Aruvi has all that it takes to be classified as a Fusion Rock band.
