London based composer, performer and band leader Juwon Ogungbe has composed and directed music for many British theatre companies, including the Royal Shakespeare Company. His commissioned concert compositions includes a work for London’s Southbank Centre and his classical singing career credits include performing in the Aldeburgh Festival. Juwon’s music theatre adaptation of Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice was presented at the Harare International Festival of Arts in 2012 to great acclaim, performed by a young Zimbabwean ensemble. His album Life Force Music was received warmly by audiences and critics in many countries.
