Blake Christiana, founding member of Yarn, has spent two decades chasing the perfect song—crafting a catalog that spans country shuffles, folk ballads, and rock-tinged roots music. Since forming Yarn in 2007, Christiana has steered the band from a scrappy New York City bar residency to sharing stages with Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Alison Krauss, and Leftover Salmon. Drummer Robert Bonhomme and bassist Rick Bugel have remained Yarn’s core alongside Christiana as the group has evolved through more than 10 albums and 17 years on the road. Their new album, Saturday Night Sermon, is out April 24, 2026. The album finds Yarn entering a new chapter, blending their ever-evolving sound and layered textures with the narrative lyrics that have resonated with listeners. Many of the songs lean into classic country, and the dynamic arrangements bring depth and warmth, with horns and gospel choirs.
