Ever since HØEK started up in 1996, the band members Robin C. Graff, Martin Eberle and Alessandro Paglialonga have been thrilling their fans. They call their sound Overdrive Session Rock. And, like a raw session, that’s the impact their songs make. Though not belonging 100% to the Stoner Rock genre, HØEK willl greatly appeal to all followers of Kyuss, Fu Manchu or Queen Of The Stone Age, as well as to fans of modern and classic rock music. The ingredients are as simple as they are effective. Guitar, bass, drums, and vocals raise a dust storm that the wind blows around a landscape of Stoner, Heavy, Psych and Grunge. Powerful riffs create a massive soundwall, rapid guitar runs add tempo, and the driving rhythm section supplies an exciting, rousing groove. The dark, unique vocal timbre enthralls audiences in soft as much as in loud phases. It is truly amazing how much tension three musicians can generate on stage and how they managed to press their live energy onto their long players.
