Raised in the small town of Tapawera, New Zealand, Zac Griffith discovered his passion for country music early, teaching himself guitar after watching the Johnny Cash film Walk The Line. From pub gigs to stages across New Zealand and Australia, he’s spent over a decade honing a sound built on honesty and heart.
In 2018, Griffith earned a scholarship to the Country Music Academy in Tamworth, where he developed his songwriting craft and began shaping his own distinctive voice. A true country boy at heart, he still splits his time between hunting, fishing, and working at a local bakery when he’s not writing or performing.
Now one of New Zealand’s most promising new voices, Griffith was named Overall Winner at the NZ Gold Guitar Awards and will join Kaylee Bell on her Cowboy Up NZ Tour in 2025. With his authentic storytelling and grounded spirit, Zac Griffith is carving out his place as a rising voice in modern country music.
