Founded in the Summer of 1972, Jack Anthony & The Sirens are a psychedelic jam rock outfit from the Southwest desert known for their transcendent live performances.
After the release of "Noah's Vineyard," they were signed to Apollyon Records and thrust into national stardom. Their live shows consisted of joyful jam sessions and mind-bending visuals; often unable to explain in worldly terms. The band toured the US in 1976 to sold out arenas, a mere four years after their initial formation. Rock and roll journalist Oliver J. Blake stated that the band's live performances "have an otherworldly energy about them. The band does not appear to play, rather channel an ethereal force that seems to speak through their music. Both artistically and physically, the band does not appear to age."
After the unexplained explosion of the Apollyon Records headquarters, all evidence of the band seemingly vanished; until a copy of their 1976 concert album was found in a record store in Reno, NV.
