The National Museum of the Great Lakes is located on the banks of the Maumee River in Toledo, Ohio. Our goal is to preserve and make known the history of the Great Lakes. With over 11,000 square feet of exhibit space, including over 500 breathtaking photographs, 250 incredible artifacts, 45 interactive exhibits, a 617' iron ore freighter and a 106' tug boat, we tell the awe inspiring history of the Great Lakes and provide a unique destination for family fun.
