Sanell Dempster is a legendary Trinidadian soca vocalist with a career spanning over 30 years. She rose to prominence as the frontline singer of Blue Ventures and made history in 1999 by winning Trinidad & Tobago’s Road March with the iconic hit “De River,” becoming the first woman in 21 years to earn the title.
In 2000, she captured the International Soca Queen crown with “Nothin” and headlined International Soca Night at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Sanell has performed across the Caribbean, North America, and Europe, and continues to command the stage with her powerful vocals and undeniable presence.
