Anthony Ray is a Los Angeles based choral musician. He is currently a member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Seattle-based choral ensemble Chorosynthesis, and Street Symphony Chorus. He has performed with many choral ensembles including the Sunday Night Singers, Tonality, Lore, and other southern California-based groups. He has worked with conductors Gustavo Dudamel, Grant Gershon, Jenny Wong, Eric Whitacre, Maria Guinand, Alan Gilbert, Zubin Mehta, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Susana Mälkki among others. He can be heard in the recent recordings of music by Scott Perkins, Eric Whitacre, and in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Additionally, Anthony is a historical researcher, specializing in early California history. He holds bachelor’s degrees from West Coast Baptist College (religious education) and California State University Los Angeles (music). In his spare time, he is either writing and posting to his blog A Modern Hermitage, traveling, or reading.
