Armed with a Tascam 4-track, a guitar, and a cheap keyboard Daniel Thomas Sobalsky, aka iota, writes from the soul. Throughout his life he has faced many challenges with addiction, and tells such stories in his songs. Love and love lost, lust, betrayal, friendships born and broken are all elements of his music. Inspired by the likes of Tom Petty and Neil Young, Mr. Sobalsky, creates beauty out of tragedy. His lyrics reflect the damages done not only through his personal addictions, but the overall chaotic atmosphere of the state of the world today. He is a loving father to two beautiful children, and seeks to better his family and the world's families through his music. Few other musicians tell stories with such brutal honesty as Daniel Thomas Sobalsky. His debut album, iota, was recorded with one mic and a 4-track in his childhood home.
