Music brings me such joy and solace! Like most people, I love to listen to many styles of music and appreciate what each style offers. Although they have differences, I also see that at the core, music is about telling stories and communicating with others. I’ve been working for over 20 years in the areas of Celtic and folk, and for the last five years, I’ve started to work in opera and classical music too! I kept these projects separate, using different names and different websites, since I wasn’t sure how I could reconcile my two passions. In 2020, I decided to ‘rebrand’ and to bring both of these projects together under one name: Lizzy Hoyt. I am dedicated to the music I play, I strive for excellence in performance and truth in storytelling - no matter the genre!
