The Jaguar Rover Triumph Group (JRT) contracted with Huffaker Racing to build the last factory sponsored Triumph SCCA race cars in 1979 and 1980. This channel documents the recent experiences of two of these cars; a TR7 and TR8. After 30 years in storage, restorations were completed in 2018 by Huffaker Engineering. The cars share the Huffaker No. 11 black livery, and were driven by five-time SCCA National Champion Lee Mueller. The TR7 won the 1979 SCCA D Production National Championship at Road Atlanta, and finished third in 1980. It was the first TR7 convertible imported into the USA by JRT, and was displayed at three national auto shows before delivery to Huffaker. It was the only factory sponsored TR7 roadster (1 of 1). The TR8 was completed in May 1980, and ran seven SCCA races that year including the 1980 Runoffs. It is the last surviving Huffaker TR8 roadster.
