Barbie The Welder is an American sculptor, author, and educator who transforms raw and reclaimed metal into one-of-a-kind works of handcrafted art.
Her path into the craft began in 2007 after seeing the welded angel wings in the film Cast Away. That moment set the direction of her life. She enrolled in welding school, and later spent years inside a custom fabrication shop building skill the hard way—through repetition, precision, and accountability to the material. During that time she earned her Journeyman certification in iron plate and sheet metal, laying the technical foundation that would later become the backbone of her sculpture.
Her work lives in private collections around the world and in select collaborations with organizations including Harley-Davidson, Burger King, and the American Welding Society.
