This channel is for those who remember the early days of Channel Four, when captions and music would appear on screen when your local ITV company hadn't sold enough advertising the fill a commercial break. These captions were on the 'sustaining feed' from Channel Four's launch up until the end of 1992, when they became responisble for their own advertising, although they were seen less and less by viewers as time went by. There were well over 250 tracks used by Channel Four, and I will be uploading as many as I can on this channel. I've also included examples of commercial break and programme line-up captions. The videos are not intended to be 'mocks' - I'm not implying that a particular track was ever used in conjunction with a particular caption, although in some cases this would have been the case. The captions are taken from videos I've acquired from a number of sources, including YouTube, and I must publicly thank anyone whose material I have used. I don't claim ownership of these. Similarly, many people have been kind enough to send me music tracks over the years, so a huge thank you to them as well. I must point out that the copyright of the music belongs to the composers and publishers and no infringements are intended by their reproduction here. Anyone wishing to use these tracks in a professional capacity must arrange this with the publishing company or composers concerned.
