I am a music student. Music theory, classical music history, and historically informed performance practice are some of my greatest interests. Classical music is a huge part of my life and this is a personal passion project to share some of that. To me, instrumental classical music is one of the most intimate and soulful forms of the arts. It does not use words and syntax, or physically illustrate known objects. It is not bound by our physical world, and instead is an abstract form of expression. It almost seems as if the composer invites you directly into their mind, instead of communicating ideas through a medium. The things expressed through music is beyond what words or sights can convey. This channel's goal is to breathe life into lost melodies. So many windows through which one can have a glimpse of the epitome of human soul have been lost to time. My project is to organize these forgotten sounds and pair them with sheet music and analysis.
