Munky King started from humble beginnings in 2003 with a quaint little shop in Chinatown LA, the first designer toy shop in Southern California. After expanding to a gallery and flagship store on Melrose, we continued to fuel the passions of the genre with art shows, signings, releases and special events. We've since closed our retail locations to focus on expanding our line of toys and working with companies and artists to develop their own products. Munky King also develops and produces animated content to bring bring our artists' work to another medium. We are currently in production of a series of shorts called "Grief Encounters", based on the work of Luke Chueh. In 2017, Munky King launched a new creative space for the design community, featuring a gallery, studios, workstations, media lab, 3D prototyping, and more.
