Based in San Diego, the sounds of Surf Shaper are often inspired by the environment of southern California, such as the endless sunlight and micro-rhythms of the ocean. Surf Shaper uses the feeling of riding an ocean wave as a model, or macrocosm, for experiencing sound waves on a smaller scale. Life in San Diego is, for many, centered around surfing and Surf Shaper seeks to translate this vibe into the music. Surf Shaper’s new five track EP “Celestial Clock” will be released by Electric Eden Records summer of 2026. In summer of 2025 Surf Shaper’s "Horizon" was released on Tour De Traum 29. 2024 saw the release of two Surf Shaper EPs on Electric Eden Records, “Night Sky” followed by “Whale Sunrise.” 2023 saw the release of “Leucadia” on Tour De Traum 25 following Surf Shaper’s “Forest Memory” EP released by Electric Eden Records.
