Our channel is dedicated to sharing body camera footage obtained from police departments across the United States. Body camera footage is a matter of public record, and it can be freely shared with the general public. We are compliant with YouTube's Fair Use Policy because we edit raw body worn camera footage into our own episodes. Jersey Cop Cam does not have any affiliations with law enforcement agencies. Instead, all of our content is obtained by submitting public records requests under public records laws in states that routinely release body worn camera footage. Cases are summarized in the description based on official government documents. Police departments often make redactions to their body camera videos before releasing them, but we take privacy seriously and sometimes need to make additional redactions (driver's licenses, addresses, etc.) to protect someone's personal information.
