The Lindavista Tribe is a collective rooted in the north of Mexico City, in the colonia Lindavista, where a generation of musicians, artists, and collaborators grew up and developed a shared underground language. The term “Lindavista Tribe” was coined by Mexican journalist David Cortés in his book El otro rock mexicano, documenting the trajectory of alternative and underground music scenes in Mexico. This channel brings together the work, archives, and ongoing explorations of that circle, including projects by Jorge Beltrán, Charlie López, Arturo López, Víctor Basurto, and Edgar Anaya. Emerging from this environment, bands like Loch Ness, HUMUS, Frolic Froth, Smoking the Century Away, Caramelo Pesado, and SEMEFO reflect a raw, evolving dialogue between sound, image, and experimentation. The Lindavista Tribe is not a fixed group, but a shared origin point, a way of understanding creation shaped by friendship, place, and time.
