Japan for the Rest of Us
Japan explained by a normal guy. No filters, no "aesthetic" influencers, and no 25-year-olds who never get tired. Just a middle-aged American who cusses a bit & remembers exactly what it’s like to be overwhelmed by Japan.
Most travel channels make Japan look like a flawless highlight reel. I’m here for the rest of us. I walk slow, I get out of breath on inclines, & I’m usually struggling for survival by midday. I’m not fluent, I’m not a local, and I’m definitely not pretending this is effortless.
I’ve seen firsthand what confuses people and what ruins trips before they even start. If you’re an older traveler who finds Japan intimidating or "too complicated," you’re in the right place. I’ll show you Japan as it actually feels—the confusion, the exhaustion, and the genuine beauty you find when you aren't rushing for the "perfect" photo. This is Japan for the mature crowd.
Authentic Japan. Real sweat. Zero fluff.
