Hello! I am taking my close up macro photographs using a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS digital camera and also a PowerShot SX40 HS which you can buy used on eBay for around $100. The macro lens is a Raynox DCR-150 lens that is made in Japan and sold for only around $50, and it simply clips onto the front of the digital camera using an adapter that is included, and it will also fit onto many other digital camera models. This is not a Digital SLR setup, and so you can get amazing macro photographs for less than $200! For camera settings, I simply use the AV mode on the camera with either auto or manual focus, and the camera is usually on a tripod. I also use the cloudy filter in the settings to give the photo a vibrant green look, and then I place the tripod about 6 inches away from the insect and then I zoom in and try to get focused on the insect. You might have to pick your tripod up and move it back and forth to get the right distance for good focus. Have fun and enjoy! :)
