Newark Junior High School is in Newark, CA, a city that is a part of the SF Bay Area. The school serves 7th and 8th grade students.
Under the direction of Mr. Ryann Hernandez, the music program was reestablished in the 2012-13 school year with 1 band and 1 choir after going 1-2 years without either elective. Since then the program has grown, and continues to work hard to get better. Without an established elementary program or elementary band, most students' first exposure to either band or choir comes at NJHS.
The NJHS Music program wants to show that they can learn music while having a fun time doing.
