Clayton Chaney (aka "DJ Chaney") was born and raised in the small town of Bellville, TX, where he excelled as a top-notch athlete and Honor Roll student. In 2008, his athleticism and intelligence earned him a scholarship at Rice University, located in the center of Houston, TX. While studying civil engineering, DJ Chaney discovered his passion for music and production; he began to test his skills by DJing at campus parties and local clubs. Clayton found that he had a knack for DJing.
Post graduation, he qualified to train for the USA Olympic Trials. In spite of his rigorous workout schedule, Chaney went on to produce two "Mashup" albums - Slanty Shanty and Man Bunz. Since those albums, DJ Chaney has shifted his focus to producing remixes and original content. Chaney's talent and hard work has not gone unnoticed, landing him major appearances at the Atlanta Falcons VIP pre-show (Superbowl LI), NCAA Men's Final Four 2016, 2019 WNBA All Star Game and the 2019 CMA Awards After Party.
