Parenting Uncomplicated is a journey of a Muslim American mother, Irambintsafia. Being a Pakistani by birth, born and raised in the Middle East, I was exposed to many cultures, from a distance. There was no assimilation of cultures, it was like knowing your neighbor, but not marrying them. In school I was taught by Arab teachers, Arab in a Middle Eastern country meant, Egyptian, Sudanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian, etc. Indian, Pakistani, Bengali,Filipino, African, British teachers too helped shape my personality. After college, I began a life of an immigrant Muslim in the United States. It was a cultural shock. No matter how many sitcoms and Hollywood movies I had given my life to, living in America, was a different experience.
Fast forward today, I am passionate about education, learning and raising good Muslim American citizens. My channel is about parenting tips and tricks for immigrant parents like myself, learning to raise first generation Americans of Immigrant parents.
