Mordant Messenger is a progressive heavy metal band from Oklahoma City. On this new album, "Exitus", the band has created its own blend of original music that incorporates elements of early heavy metal, goth, and punk. Lyrical content of the new album includes references spanning mythology, literature, American pop culture, politics, and emotionalism. Non-traditional arrangements, driving rhythms, and haunting melodies support the varying moods of the lyrics.
The current band includes members Rebecca Storey on vocals and keyboards, Tessa Wilken Gross on vocals and violin, Jon Gross on bass, Brian Adair on drums and vocals, and Tony Crow on guitar. All are from the OKC metro area, and have been a part of the music community for many years.
