Zack Jones was originally self taught until meeting traditional painter, Sergio de Ladron Guevara, while living in Cave Creek, Arizona. Sergio taught ZJ the principles of painting with love and meaning. In 2006 Zack moved back to his hometown Malvern Iowa to pursue a live work space. In 2011 he bought a 1873 de-sanctidied Church for that purpose. Today, Art Church Iowa serves as his mural studio, micro wedding venue, and downstairs Airbnb. Zack hosts the Southwest Iowa Art Tour the 3rd weekend in September and Art Church Live. This Singer Song Writer Series happens every Thursday in April and October. under the Art Church's illuminated sky-scape mural. Art Church Iowa has expanded to include Art House Iowa located next door. Art House Iowa serves as Zack's Gallery and is also available as a Airbnb. Zack sees Art and Historical Preservation as a means to small town revitalization. Support local is at the heart of Art Church Iowa's mantra.
