Technical diving (sometimes referred to as Tech diving) is a form of scuba diving that exceeds the conventional scope (in terms of depth, bottom time and type of diving) of recreational diving, although the vast majority of technical divers dive for recreation and no other purpose. Technical divers require advanced training, extensive experience, specialized equipment (open circuit or closed circuit rebreather) and often use breathing gases other than air or standard nitrox. Cavern & Cave diving is underwater diving in caves which are at least partially filled with water. The equipment used varies depending on the circumstances. Cave diving is generally considered to be a type of technical diving due to the lack of a free surface during large parts of the dive, and often involves decompression.
