I am the first black woman to ever receive a Michelin star and want to help change the narrative around what being a chef can look like, all while prioritizing my own health and well being! I’ve worked in professional kitchens for 15 years (half my life) and my husband and I are making the transition into doing our own thing. In the mean time I want to create a space to help others understand, and get back to some very basic cooking fundamentals. I believe getting back to basic practices of living, like cooking, is one of the first steps to us living better lives. So if you don’t know how to cook, or just need to revisit certain things, you will be able to do that here! I also just want to cook delicious food, share my journey, experiences and the things I know and love, with you!
