SALU began his career in 2012 with the release of his debut album IN MY SHOES. From the very start, he quickly gained recognition and emerged as one of the most promising newcomers in the Japanese hip-hop scene. In 2013, he made his major-label debut with In My Life, expanding his presence by performing at major festivals such as ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL and ARABAKI ROCK FEST.. Since then, SALU has continued to release notable works, including his groundbreaking fourth album INDIGO, establishing himself as an essential figure in Japanese hip-hop. He has also collaborated with a wide range of artists, receiving feature requests from names such as JP THE WAVY, SKY-HI, Kvi Baba, KEIJU, and Shota Shimizu. In 2025, he announced his move to Bullmoose Records, a label under BMSG. The same year, he released BIS4, the latest installment of his BIS (Before I Sign) mixtape series—his first in eight years—marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
