Montis, Goudsmit & Directie share a passion for groove and a true love for funky SoulJazz. Organ beast Frank Montis grooves like no other and regularly met Goudsmit & Directie on sessions. An absolute killer combi, so they turned out to be, that will set any audience on fire. A trio was born. The energetic and inventive Anton Goudsmit is the perfect guitarist for this formation. From behind the drums the blazing Cyril Directie conducts the storm in all sorts of directions: classics by Grant Green, The Meters, Jimmy Smith, Eddie Harris and Rusty Bryant are easily combined with their own compositions and wild improvasstions on the fly. Let there be groove! Frank Montis is no stranger to the Dutch Soul & Jazz scene. He regularly tours with his own band DelMontis and played funk and soul with The Soul Snatchers and Laura Vane & The Vipertones.
