Tara Rajendran, MBBS, PhD, MFA, is a doctor, classical Indian 'Saraswati Veena' musician, author, a 3x-TEDx speaker, and one of the most influential #PhysicianMusicians globally, advocating for the integration of RCT/metaanalysis-based MBIs into clinical practice ('Oncology&Strings'). She won the 'SEMPRE 'Making a Difference' award' & 'The Arnold Bentley New Initiatives Award' from the Society for Education and Music Psychology Research, UK in 2025. She has spoken & performed Veena in the US, Asia, Africa, and at the United Nations, Tanzania. She began her traditional Veena training at 7 & is a disciple of Venkitachalam Balakrishnan ('Veena') Potti (disciple of 'Sangeetakalanidhi' K.S. Narayanaswamy). She holds a BA & MFA in Veena+a Ph.D. in Music. Tara was awarded the President of India's 'Rashtrapati' Award (National award; Highest attainable award in Scouts & Guides) with a proficiency badge, ‘Musician’, in 2007. She is a member of GRAMMY U Recording Academy.
