"COR Live Streaming" is the education and virtual research information channel managed by Dr. D. Inbakandan, Head, Centre for Ocean Research, Sathyabma Institute of Science and Technology(SIST). The Centre for Ocean Research (COR) is one of the premier research and innovation centers managed by the SIST to focus on Ocean Bio-Science Research and Technology. COR was established in 2007 as a joint initiative by the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) Chennai and Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology to encourage targeted sectors of Ocean Research. The aim of the COR is to promote research and development towards the SDG 14 targets such as reduce marine pollution; protect and restore ecosystems; reduce ocean acidification; sustainable fishing; conserve coastal and marine areas; end subsidies contributing to overfishing; increase the economic benefits from sustainable use of marine resources; support small scale fishers, and implement and enforce international sea law.
