The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival, under the artistic direction of flutist Linda Chesis, brings top classical and jazz artists to Cooperstown, NY. The Festival features classical masterworks, little known gems, as well as premieres of new works. On July 7, 2013, the Cooperstown Summer Music Festival premiered a multimedia work that featured a live performance of Robert Sirota's 2008 composition "Birds of Paradise for flute, clarinet and piano" with video footage and wildlife sound recordings from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Birds-of-Pardise Project. The video was edited by Jim Berman. The artists performing at the premiere were: Festival Artistic Director Linda Chesis, flute; Marianne Gythfeldt, clarinet; and Pedja Muzijevic, piano.
