SLASH PUPPET is an award winning and internationally renowned Canadian hard rock and glam heavy metal band that made some great music before the advent of the grunge invasion. Formed in Toronto in 1987, the group consisted of lead vocalist Mif, guitarist Lou Garscadden, guitarist Frank Bartoletti, bassists Pete Dove (1987-1992), Dave Carreiro (1992-1995) and drummer Franklin Wyles. The band released two records and received awards for Best Toronto Club Band (1990 Toronto Music Awards) and Best Independent Music Video (1993 L.A. Music Awards) before disbanding in 1995. On October 19, 2021, on the 32ND ANNIVERSARY of their inaugural show MIF Entertainment announced that "after many months of unfortunate setbacks and delays" the band's long awaited compilation CD entitled "STUDS & GEMS" was being released. A LIMITED EDITION CD that features a compilation of the band's very best songs including a never before released extended live version of the bombastic song Stranger Danger.
