A series of live concerts and workshops of improvised music, visual arts, dance and poetry. The Noisy Women began in 2020 with pianist Marion Treby and multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and T'ai Chi Chuan practitioner Faradena Afifi. Since 2021 "The Noisy Women Present" was founded with live visual artist Gwendolyn Kassenaar, vocalist, pianist and dancer Maggie Nicols. From late 2022 it grew to include Maham Suhail, voice, Charlotte Keeffe, trumpet Nicky Smith, stuff, Jo Morrison, voice, Chris Freeman, photography and Julian Woods, guitars. The Noisy Women actively practise "Collective and Social Virtuosity", developed by Maggie Nicols. They have an inclusive and open approach to all their events. Collectively they are helping make improvised creative arts a popular and empowering art form that all beings can enjoy.
